Senior Software Engineer (Java Developer, Spring Boot)

Key Skills:

Core Java (8/11/17) – Strong fundamentals in object-oriented programming, multi-threading, and exception handlingSpring Boot – REST APIs, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Spring CloudMicroservices Architecture – Design, development, deployment, and orchestrationCloud Platforms – AWS / Azure / GCP (any exposure to cloud-native services preferred)API Standards – OpenAPI / Swagger / JSON / YAMLBuild & Deployment – Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelinesQuality & Automation – Unit Testing (JUnit/TestNG), Code Coverage (Jacoco/SonarQube), Integration TestingPerformance Optimization – Profiling, load testing, async processing, caching strategiesDevOps & Monitoring Tools – Docker, Kubernetes, ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana

Responsibilities:

Design & Development:Design, develop, and deploy high-performance, scalable Java-based microservicesImplement and maintain REST APIs following OpenAPI/Swagger standardsFollow API-first and Cloud-native design principles

Quality Engineering & Best Practices:

Analyze code review reports, ensure adherence to clean code principles and coding standardsDrive adoption of automated unit tests, integration tests, and contract testsMeasure and improve code coverage, performance benchmarks, and API reliability

Automation And Testing:

Develop and extend automation frameworks for both API and integration-level testingSupport BDD/TDD practices across development teamsIntegrate testing pipelines into CI/CD workflows

Performance, Scalability & Monitoring:

Design for performance tuning, scalability, asynchronous processing, and fault toleranceContribute to setting up monitoring and alerting dashboards for production systems

Collaboration And Mentoring:

Work closely with DevOps, Product Owners, and QA teams for feature deliveryMentor junior developers, conduct code walkthroughs, and lead design discussionsParticipate in technical design reviews, architecture discussions, and production issue triaging

Preferred Experience:

5+ years of hands-on Java development experienceDeep understanding of Microservices design patterns, API Gateways, and service discoveryExposure to Cloud deployment models like AWS ECS/EKS, Azure AKS, or GCP GKEProficiency with Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)Experience working in Agile/Scrum teamsExposure to Observability tools: ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana (Preferred but not mandatory)

Good To Have:

Experience with API security standards (OAuth2, JWT)Exposure to event-driven architecture using Kafka or RabbitMQKnowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormationFamiliarity with performance testing tools like JMeter, Gatling, etc.
