Business Finance Manager

CDP group has products for Data Integrations, Data Management, Customer Services, Data Analytics and Data Governance. The suite of data products enables Marketers to provide personalised engagements and loyalty programs using Capillary Engage+ and Loyalty+ products.

About the Role:Manager- Business Finance

The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders and drive financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes. This role blends core FP&A responsibilities with cross-functional collaboration, O2C compliance oversight, and support for strategic initiatives such as M&A, investor relations, and automation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

FP&A Core Activities:

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for assigned business units.
• Perform variance analysis and develop insights to drive performance improvements.
• Deliver accurate and timely monthly and quarterly financial reports to management.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making and scenario planning.
• Collaborate closely with business and functional leaders to align operational plans with financial goals.
• Support business reviews by providing actionable financial insights and helping bridge revenue and cost gaps vs. plans.
• Guide functional teams in optimizing spend, efficiency, and ROI on key initiatives
• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement..

Collaboration with Controllership:

• Coordinate with the controllership team to ensure timely and accurate monthly / quarterly book closures.
• Review accounting entries and accruals to ensure alignment with financial plans and Ind-AS standards.
• Own the O2C process for assigned business units — from contract structuring and validation to revenue recognition and audit readiness.
• Coordinate with legal, sales ops, and finance teams to streamline contract-to-cash workflows.
• Lead internal audits of the O2C process, ensuring control design and effectiveness.
• Identify process gaps, recommend improvements, and work with stakeholders to implement fixes.
• Drive profitability analysis for products, services, and business units, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, delivering reports to senior management with insights and recommendations.
• Evaluate business opportunities and support decision-making through financial modeling and scenario analysis.
• Support the implementation of financial systems and tools to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
• Drive quarterly revenue and receivables review procedures in coordination with statutory auditors.
• Own data preparation, reconciliations, and analytical schedules to facilitate smooth audits.

Corporate Projects and stakeholder reporting:

• Actively participate in cross-functional projects such as M&A due diligence, integration support, and financial reporting automation.
• Support finance transformation initiatives, bringing in best practices and process efficiencies.
• Assist in the preparation of board decks, investor updates, and fundraising-related financial materials.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, corporate policies, and internal controls.
• Work with the leadership team to communicate financial performance, forecasts, and strategic narratives effectively.

Qualifications:

• CA / MBA Finance / CPA or equivalent qualification.
• 3–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in technology or high-growth sectors.
• Strong grasp of FP&A, accounting principles, revenue recognition, and O2C processes.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and tools like Power BI, Tableau.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite/SAP/Oracle) and reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• High ownership mindset, problem-solving ability, and agility in dynamic environments.
