Crowe is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy professional to join our Tax Transformation team as a
Tax Transformation Associate
. In this role, you will help design and build modern automation and reporting solutions that directly support the needs of Crowe’s Tax business unit.
This role is ideal for someone with a foundation in analytics and tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Power Query, and Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), and familiarity with accounting. A strong willingness to learn, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering timely are essential for success.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of workflows, dashboards, and low-code applications to enhance tax processes, reporting, and internal capabilities.
- Build and maintain solutions using Alteryx, Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, and Excel.
- Collaborate with Tax Transformation managers and team members to define project needs, gather requirements, and build functional tools.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and deliverables by effectively coordinating across teams and time zones to meet established expectations and deadlines.
- Participate in tool creation, testing, user documentation, and rollout activities.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency across the Tax function.
- Ensure accuracy, usability, and long-term maintainability of all delivered solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Data Analytics, MIS, or a related field.
- Familiarity with:
- Alteryx Designer (building workflows and transformations)
- Power BI (dashboards, DAX, visual reporting)
- Power Query and Excel (data modeling and transformation)
- Power Automate and Power Apps preferred, not required
- APIs, Python, or other common programming languages preferred, not required
- Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query and data transformation functions.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders across multiple disciplines and levels
- Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills with strong organizational and administrative abilities
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Familiarity with accounting, tax, or experience working in a tax department
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage tasks, prioritize deadlines, and communicate progress.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong commitment to high-quality delivery.
- Eagerness to learn new tools and develop in a fast-paced, technology-focused environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
