Radar Software Team
is looking for an experienced Lead software engineer to join our team.At TI Radar Software Team, our Software Developers design, develop, modify, debug and evaluate embedded programs for variety of Radar SOC devices. You may analyzes existing programs or develop logic for new generation SOC devices; coding and testing/debugging programs. You may develop conversion and system implementation plans and prepare system and programming documentation as per software development process.This role will integrate requirements from multiple business applications into the software SDK architecture, delivering accurate, scalable, user-friendly SW solutions. Role also provides opportunities that gain high visibility into all layers of the radar organization, including Business managers, Application team, Systems architecture, design team and ROM Firmware development teams. Opportunity to work with a strong technical team to learn and develop innovative solutions in support of a rapidly changing business environment.
In This Role You Will
- Participate in architecture, designing, coding, and testing of complex drivers and algorithms associated with Radar SW SDK
- Participate in debugging and enhancing existing software solutions
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of embedded systems, coding and application use cases
- Collaborate with business to develop requirements and create level of effort estimates
- Develop solutions following software development process and best practice methodologies
- Mentor junior team members and lead/drive assigned projects with higher responsibilities.
- Develop automations and use AI/ML tools to enhance the execution efficiency
- Partner with businesses, R&D and program management to develop entitlement around solutions (training, work sessions, Planning)
- Analysis and resolution of customer and internal issues being encountered by the team and global end user community.
About the organization:
In Radar BU, we develop mm-wave (60GHz and 77Hz) chips for automotive and industrial applications. Our mm-wave radar chips are critical in realization of a broad spectrum of high-tech use-cases, such as, environment sensing for autonomous and assisted driving of vehicles (ADAS functionalities), in-cabin sensing for seat-belt alerts and child-left-behind alerts, people sensing for indoor lighting and temperature control, human gesture sensing in intelligent gadgets, and sensing for robotics in factories, smart-homes and buildings. Our complex radar transceivers and systems-on-chip are an outcome of cutting-edge R&D across multiple disciplines (winner and 3-time finalist atJack Kilby Award of Innovation
), meticulous collaboration of our brightest and diligent analog, digital, systems, test, validation, packaging, and software technologists, as well as sophisticated measurement labs and sustained backing from TI leadership. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology related field
- 3 to 5 years' of experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Highly competent with C, assembly language, python, compilers and linkers
- Deep understanding of embedded real time systems software/firmware programming, ARM cores, DSP cores, Hardware accelerators and engineering principles
- Proficiency in debugging critical embedded software systems issues with JTAG, trace and logic analyzer tools
- Experience in SDK/Application drivers, peripherals, algorithms development for popular SOCs / embedded systems
- Exposure to SW development life cycles, unit, integration and qualification of the SW.
- Exposure to AI/ML and associated tools
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Demonstrated strong customer service orientation and ability to take ownership for issue resolution
- Having knowledge on MCAL and AUTOSAR is plus point.
