Senior Application Engineer, Application Data and Integration

The Senior Application Engineer is a member of the Enterprise applications. This person contributes to building all common infrastructure and integrations for enterprise applications as an application developer. This person builds data model, integrations, common tools and utilities. The person functions in Scrum teams with other professionals focused on building, maintaining, and supporting solutions frameworks for the enterprise apps. Pega is changing the way the world builds software and our goal is to be the no. 1 CRM SaaS company in the world. In this role, you'll help us design, develop, implement new enhancements for the applications.

What You'll Do at Pega:

• Develop world’s best CRM applications.
• Design, develop and implement high quality Application Software with minimal defects that conforms with suggested design patterns and best practices using Pega Platform and CRM applications.
• Work as part of a collaborative Agile team working in a SCRUM model and collaborate with talented engineers across the organization. Report work status, progress and impediments in a timely fashion.
• Understand and deliver solutions to the business problem with end user empathy.
• Take ownership of bugs and designing and implementing a story and drive it to completion.
• Develop and execute unit test cases to draft test your work.
• Provide effort and time estimates to complete work.
• Proactively provide feedback to Platform's Engineering team and participate in adoption and implementation testing for new Platform features.
• Take ownership of the tasks and make sure they are delivered with great quality.
• Exhibit thought leadership and suggest product and process improvements.
• Resolve customer issues either by providing technical guidance or issue formal fixes.

Who You Are:

• Prominent development experience in Java, PRPC, React js, advanced Java Script (concepts such as object-oriented java script, namespace, prototyping in java script), CSS, HTML experience is highly desired.
• Deep understanding and hands on experience on various java script design patterns, data structures
• Development experience on Core Java, Object Oriented Programming
• Strong interest to learn CRM and new technologies
• Agile/Scrum experience
• Should have experience in building SQL queries

What You've Accomplished:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer applications or related field
• Strong understanding of Application Software engineering concepts and practices
• Prior knowledge and experience of developing integrations using APIs
• Solid understanding of, and practical experience with design patterns

• Experience with one or more of the following: Java, J2EE, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Oracle, DB2, MS SQL
• Experience/Certification in CRM applications is a plus
• Very good presentation and communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Passionate about learning new technologies and constant desire for innovation
• Should be able to take ownership of the deliverables assigned and would be able to deliver with no or minimal guidance.
• Partner with internal clients, like Product Managers, to deliver World-class software
