The Role: What we want to accomplish and why we need you.
We are seeking a versatile and proactive IT Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru. In this critical role, you will be the backbone of our internal IT operations, ensuring that our team has the reliable and secure systems they need to build and support our cutting-edge products. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from providing hands-on technical support to our employees to managing and maintaining our corporate IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud services. What You Will Do:
- User Support, Onboarding, and Offboarding: Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support requests from our India-based employees. Manage the IT onboarding and offboarding process for new hires, including account creation, hardware provisioning (laptops, peripherals), and system setup.
- System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain our corporate IT infrastructure.
- Software & Asset Management: Manage software licenses, installations, and updates across the organization. Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all IT assets.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and uphold security best practices to protect our corporate systems and data. Assist with security audits and ensure compliance with relevant policies. Manage user access controls and permissions for various corporate systems.
- Cloud & SaaS Administration: Administer and support our suite of corporate cloud services, such as Google Workspace, Office 365, Slack, and other SaaS applications.
- Troubleshooting & Resolution: Diagnose and resolve a variety of hardware, software, and network issues in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing downtime.
- Documentation: Create and maintain clear and concise documentation for IT processes, system configurations, and user guides.
- Support: Manage support requests efficiently through Jira, maintaining detailed records of problem resolution steps and keeping stakeholders informed as issues progress from initial report to resolution.
- Secure: Quickly learn and apply company security protocols and IT procedures, serving as a knowledgeable first point of contact who can guide users through proper channels and escalation paths.
- Operate: Handle day-to-day IT tasks autonomously while collaborating effectively on complex cross-departmental projects that require coordination between multiple teams and systems.
Requirements (What We're Looking For):
- Operating Systems: Strong proficiency in managing and troubleshooting macOS environments.
- Cloud Services: Experience administering cloud productivity suites like Google Workspace (G Suite) or Microsoft Office 365.
- Security Acumen: A strong understanding of IT security principles and best practices, including endpoint security, email security, and access control.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. A customer-centric mindset with the ability to effectively support both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Self-Motivation: The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
- Automation: Experience with automation platforms and knowledgeable in automating IT processes
Bonus Points (Nice to Have):
- Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Security+.
- Experience with scripting languages to automate tasks.
- Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
- Experience working in a rapidly growing, global technology company.
- Experience with configuration and use of IAM platforms (Okta, etc.)
