Role Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our team as a Community Mobiliser. This role involves strategizing, mentoring, and supporting skill development initiatives while fostering meaningful connections between communities and the programs offered. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between educational initiatives and community needs through innovative outreach, mentorship, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Demographic Research and Data Analysis:

  • Conduct demographic surveys and analyze data to identify target audiences, their needs, and the organizations within the region.
  • Use insights from the research to build strategies that align with the community’s characteristics and needs.

Collaboration with Course Providers:

  • Pre-Mobilisation: Collaborate with course providers to understand the selection criteria, eligibility requirements, and expected outcomes for students.
  • Post-Mobilisation: Discuss student progress, attitude, and challenges with course providers to refine strategies and improve outcomes for both students and the community.
  • Work closely with providers to adapt teaching methods or program components based on student feedback and observations.

Community Mobilisation strategy and Engagement:

  • Develop and execute innovative community mobilisation strategies to foster awareness and participation.
  • Engage local communities through meetings, campaigns, and events to promote awareness of the courses and opportunities.
  • Build relationships with local organizations, NGOs, and other stakeholders to support mobilisation efforts.
  • Design strategies to effectively communicate the relevance of the courses to the community's socio-economic context.

Student Recruitment and Retention:

  • Identify and recruit eligible participants, ensuring admission targets are met.
  • Counsel students and their families to address concerns and clarify program benefits before, during, and after the course.
  • Design engaging activities and communication strategies to reduce dropout rates and enhance student retention.

Training and Capacity Building:

  • Plan and conduct training sessions for students focusing on communication, leadership, career building, and personality development using experiential learning approaches.
  • Counsel students and parents before admission, during the course, and after completion, addressing concerns and offering guidance throughout their journey.
  • Mentor students individually and in groups to build confidence and prepare them for successful job placements.
  • Organize orientation and training programs for faculty and staff to help them better understand community dynamics and effectively address admission challenges.

Operational Excellence:

  • Ensure the efficient use of resources for mobilisation activities and training sessions.
  • Oversee logistics for training programs, including venue setup, materials, and schedules.
  • Develop presentations, posters, and other materials to support community outreach initiatives.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Regularly track and document the progress of community mobilisation efforts and skill development programs.
  • Collect feedback from participants, stakeholders, and team members to assess effectiveness and identify areas of improvement.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and updates for stakeholders, highlighting challenges, successes, and areas for further focus.

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the community mobilisation team, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Conduct one-on-one and group meetings with course providers to address challenges and opportunities related to admissions and community engagement.
  • Represent the organization in community forums, workshops, and meetings to enhance visibility and credibility.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to connect with diverse audiences and build relationships.

  • Organizational Skills: Expertise in planning, resource management, and multi-tasking to ensure smooth operations.
  • Accountability : Take full ownership of responsibilities and ensure the successful execution of mobilization plans and demonstrating a proactive approach in addressing challenges and meeting objectives.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
