Quality Assurance Automation Engineer - Python/Playwright Testing

Key Responsibilities

• Automation Framework Development : Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient automation frameworks primarily using Python, leveraging tools like Playwright and Selenium.
• Test Case Automation & Execution : Write, execute, and maintain automated test cases for various testing types, including regression, integration, functional, and user interface (UI) tests, utilizing Pytest.
• Collaboration & Strategy : Work closely with developers and product teams to thoroughly understand features, define clear acceptance criteria, and strategically identify candidates for automation.
• CI/CD Integration : Develop, integrate, and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable automated test execution, ensuring rapid feedback loops.
• Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis : Effectively troubleshoot automated test failures, identify the root causes of issues, and collaborate with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
• Code Quality & Best Practices : Conduct regular code reviews of automation scripts to ensure adherence to automation best practices, coding standards, and overall code quality.
• Test Data Management : Generate, manage, and maintain necessary test data to support automated test execution across different scenarios.
• Reporting & Metrics : Provide accurate and timely test results, quality metrics, and progress reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency on project quality Skills & Qualifications :
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 6-9 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on test automation for production applications.
• Mandatory hands-on expertise in Python for test automation.
• Extensive experience with Pytest for writing and executing automated tests.
• Proven proficiency in using both Playwright and Selenium for UI and functional test automation.
• Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks.
• Solid experience in automating regression, integration, functional, and UI tests.
• Hands-on experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills, with a focus on root cause analysis.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Experience with API testing automation.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
