Job Title: Delivery Head – Software Services Experience: 19+ Years Industry: Software Services / IT Services Domain Focus: EdTech, Enterprise Applications Technology Focus: Open Source / Java, PHP, Node.js, AWS Job Summary We are seeking a seasoned Delivery lead/Heads with a robust background in managing large-scale technology engagements in software services, particularly in the EdTech domain. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading multiple agile projects, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring delivery excellence while owning client satisfaction, operational metrics, and profitability. Key Responsibilities Delivery Leadership Drive end-to-end ownership of software delivery across multiple concurrent projects. Ensure high-quality, on-time, and within-budget project deliveries using Agile/Scrum/Iterative models. Establish and monitor delivery governance mechanisms including milestone tracking, KPI reporting, and audit compliance. Implement and promote engineering best practices including CI/CD, code reviews, automated testing, and DevSecOps wherever applicable. Client & Stakeholder Management Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders. Set and manage expectations with clear communication and transparency. Act as the escalation point for project delivery issues, ensuring swift and effective resolution. Drive continuous feedback loops to improve client satisfaction and loyalty. Team & People Management Manage and mentor large, distributed project teams (100+ engineers), including project managers, technical leads, and engineers. Drive talent fulfillment by coordinating with recruitment and resourcing teams to close open positions effectively. Foster a high-performance culture with a focus on employee engagement, motivation, and retention. Maintain attrition levels in alignment with company objectives through proactive engagement and leadership. Operational & Financial Management Own and optimize delivery-related financial metrics, including revenue, gross margin (GM), resource utilization, and billing efficiency. Forecast and track project and account budgets, ensuring profitability while meeting delivery goals. Identify opportunities for account mining and contribute to proposals, estimations, and client pitches. Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement Define and execute delivery strategy in alignment with client needs and organizational goals. Proactively identify delivery risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans. Drive innovation by recommending process improvements and tooling enhancements within delivery units. Collaborate with senior leadership to align delivery outcomes with business strategies. Tools & Technology Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project, Trello). Proficiency in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and understanding of deployment strategies. Background in Open Source technology stacks – Java, PHP, Node.js – is essential. Desired Profile 18+ years of experience in software development and delivery with at least 8–10 years in a delivery leadership role. Experience in delivering EdTech or education-sector software solutions is highly desirable. Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects/accounts with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams. Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, presentation, and facilitation skills. Proven leadership with the ability to motivate and inspire large teams. PMP, SAFe, or Scrum certifications are a plus.
