Join the #VTeamLife.We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Engineer III, Full Stack, to play a key role in our ongoing wireline transformation. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying robust software solutions that support customer migrations, system modernizations, and legacy system decommissioning’s. You will work across the entire software stack, contributing to both front-end and back-end development, ensuring the successful delivery of our transformation goals.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, testing, and deploying features and applications across the full stack, including front-end user interfaces, back-end APIs, and database interactions.
  • Developing tools and services to facilitate and automate customer migrations from legacy wireline platforms to modern infrastructure, ensuring data integrity and minimal service disruption.
  • Contributing to the development and integration of new and modernized core wireline systems (e.g., OSS/BSS, network management, provisioning, assurance platforms).
  • Building and enhance functionalities that support the safe and efficient decommissioning of legacy wireline systems.
  • Writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards, security best practices, and performance optimization.
  • Working closely with architects, product managers, other engineers, and QA to understand requirements, define technical solutions, and deliver high-quality software.
  • Participating in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving production issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of developed solutions.
  • Developing and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure the quality and correctness of developed features.
  • Participating in agile ceremonies, contribute to process improvements, and stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

You’ll Need To Have

  • Bachelor’s degree with four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in full stack software development.
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) in an Agile environment.
  • Proven experience in developing scalable and maintainable applications.
  • Technical Experience (Strong proficiency in a Front-end: React, HTML5, CSS3, Back-end: Java (Spring Boot preferred, Databases: Relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra), APIs: RESTful API design and development, Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), Version Control: Git, CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proactive, curious, and a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable software.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • Experience with specific wireline technologies (e.g., GPON, DSL, Ethernet, IP).
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture.
  • Experience with message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Understanding of network provisioning or service assurance concepts.
