User Experience Designer

Position Overview:

• Experience Level: 3-5 years
• Develop front-end user interfaces for Web-based or other software products, including mobile and web console devices.
• Collaborate with back-end development, visual design, product management, and customers.
• Code behaviors and functionality for current and future software applications using design specifications.
• Assist with new user interface testing and participate in usability reviews.
• Remain current on user interface trends and programming techniques and suggest new tools and methods as necessary.
• Responsible for usability research and design in absence of dedicated usability team members.
• Closely supervised with little latitude for independent judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Champion user experience best practices and contribute to product development alongside product managers, engineers, designers, and subject matter experts.
• Simplify complexity, foster collaboration, and drive innovation for Fusion customers.
• Employ human-centered design practices to understand customer needs and stakeholder challenges, synthesize insights, and develop ideas.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs using Figma, iterating based on feedback.
• Conduct initial user testing, analyze results, and present insights, with guidance from senior designers.
• Apply strategic problem-solving to identify patterns and relationships, with some supervision.
• Balance business objectives with user needs, providing insights to guide product decisions.
• Communicate design concepts through storytelling and presentations, building trust and credibility.
• Design and execute research studies, analyze data, and synthesize insights to enhance user experience.
• Engage with users to gather feedback, to empower impactul product decision making.
• Support design thinking sessions, documenting the impact of research on product strategy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Masters degree in UX Design, Mechanical Engineering,
• Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years professional experience in UX design within software, AI, or manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in tools like Adobe Suite, Figma, Jira, Confluence, Airtable,and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical thinking and a user-centered design mindset.
• Effective communication and presentation skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Passion for solving complex ‘wicked’ problems.

Preferred Skills:

• Self-driven and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with AI, manufacturing software, and data visualization is a plus.
• Prior experience with CAD software or 3D visualization.
