Job Description: CNC Rotary Table Sales Engineer - Chennai Region

Job Summary:
Axis Engineering Solutions is a leading provider of advanced CNC machine tool accessories, and we are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Engineer to promote and sell our range of high-precision CNC rotary tables within the Chennai region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical understanding of CNC machining processes, excellent sales and communication skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets in the machine tool industry. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, providing technical expertise, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Market Research and Lead Generation: Identify potential customers within the Chennai region across various industries such as automotive, aerospace, die & mold, general engineering, and educational institutions that utilize CNC machining.
Conduct market research to understand customer needs, application areas, and competitive landscape for CNC rotary tables.
Generate leads through various channels including direct visits, cold calling, networking, attending industry events (like ACMEE in Chennai), and leveraging online resources.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers, including machine tool builders, dealers, and end-users (CNC job shops, manufacturing units).
Understand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions based on our product portfolio of standard and high-performance rotary tables (indexing, continuous, multi-axis, horizontal, vertical, etc.).
Act as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing their inquiries, providing technical support, and resolving any issues promptly.
Technical Sales and Product Promotion: Present technical information and value propositions of our CNC rotary tables effectively to customers, highlighting features like accuracy (indexing accuracy within seconds), rigidity, load capacity (vertical, horizontal, circumferential load in Newtons), speed (maximum rotation in min-1), and compatibility with different CNC machine controls.
Conduct product demonstrations and application studies to showcase the capabilities and benefits of our rotary tables in improving machining efficiency, precision, and multi-axis capabilities.
Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotations, and participate in tender processes.
Collaborate with the application engineering team to provide pre-sales technical support, including feasibility studies and integration advice.
Sales Target Achievement and Reporting: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed assigned sales targets for the Chennai region.
Maintain accurate sales records, track progress, and provide regular sales reports to the management, including lead generation, sales pipeline, and order forecasts.
Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
Product and Industry Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of our CNC rotary table product range, including technical specifications (e.g., table diameter, center height, through-hole diameter, clamping system and torque, reduction ratio), features, and benefits.
Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in CNC machining technology, particularly related to rotary axes and multi-axis machining.
Monitor competitor activities and market developments.
Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, application engineering, and customer support, to ensure seamless customer experience.
Provide feedback from customers to the product development team for continuous product improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in technical sales within the CNC machine tool industry, preferably with direct experience in selling rotary tables or related accessories (e.g., chucks, automation systems).
Strong technical knowledge of CNC machining principles, machine tool operations, and the role of rotary tables in enhancing machining capabilities.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong customer relationships.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work independently.
Willingness to travel extensively within the Chennai region to meet with customers.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of the local industrial landscape and existing customer network in the Chennai region is a significant advantage.
