Job Summary

The MIS (Management Information Systems) Administrator is responsible for managing, analyzing, and maintaining data across business functions to support decision-making, operational efficiency, and reporting accuracy. In a travel company context, this role ensures that all travel bookings, visa processes, customer records, and financial data are recorded, tracked, and reported with precision.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

Data Management & Reporting

  • Develop, update, and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports for different departments (Sales, Visa, Ticketing, Accounts, etc.).
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in MIS reports using Excel, ERP systems, or specialized travel software.
  • Generate operational dashboards and performance reports for senior management.

System Administration

  • Manage the company’s MIS tools or ERP platform relevant to travel operations.
  • Coordinate with software vendors or internal IT teams to resolve issues, apply updates, and customize modules as per business needs.
  • Monitor system backups, data integrity, and user access controls.

Interdepartmental Coordination

  • Work closely with departments (Sales, Visa, Operations, Finance) to collect and consolidate relevant data.
  • Standardize reporting formats and ensure timely delivery of reports to respective stakeholders.

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze business performance metrics such as booking trends, visa processing volumes, turnaround times, revenue patterns, etc.
  • Provide actionable insights and support strategic planning through data interpretation.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain proper documentation of all data processes, report templates, and data policies.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal policies for customer and transaction data.

Support & Training

  • Provide user support for MIS platforms or reporting tools.
  • Train employees on data entry processes, reporting protocols, and system usage.

 

Experience Required

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in MIS or Data Management roles, preferably in the travel and tourism industry or a service-based sector.
  • Proven experience handling travel operations data such as bookings, customer data, visa applications, and finance tracking.

Skills & Competencies

  • Extensively manage and handle CRM for (Sales) International Travel company, as well in a Non-Profitable NGO.
  • Proficient in Advanced Excel, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query, and other reporting tools.
  • Experience with travel CRM/ERP systems like Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, or custom platforms.
  • Knowledge of SQL or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and coordination abilities.
