Job Description

Lead Engineer - LCS

Noida-India

Summary:

You will lead the delivery & execution of all the assigned projects on time with good quality, cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction. You'll have to ensure technical deliverables matches project requirements, save engineering cost through use of productivity tools, standardisation, re-use & application of technical expertise by working with project managers, engineering managers, lead/senior/project engineers. You will report to Application Center Manager, Infra (LCS) and have a hybrid schedule working in Noida, India.

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver/execute projects and ensure to meet 100% quality (Scope, Schedule and Budget defined for a project) and high level of customer satisfaction.
• Lead PLC, SCADA, HMI, and DCS system architecture, programming, and integration efforts.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure project scope, timelines, and resource allocation align with delivery milestones to achieve customer acceptance.
• Support the Project Manager with technical input during planning, risk assessment, and change management processes.
• Provide progress updates, technical risk mitigation strategies, and resource forecasts for project tracking and reporting.
• Align with the Engineering Manager on team assignments, technical escalations, and alignment of engineering deliverables with organisational standards
• Act as a liaison between project execution and engineering leadership to ensure seamless communication and delivery coordination. Conduct competitor analysis, ensuring Rockwell Automation remains a market leader.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across project lifecycle—from requirements gathering through FAT, SAT, and handover.
• Review Architectures, control panel layouts, I/O lists, and functional design documents.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to define technical requirements and scope project deliverables.
• Support technical proposal reviews, including architecture validation, hardware sizing, and software estimation.
• Represent the engineering function in project reviews and customer meetings.
• Lead FAT planning, execution, and documentation, ensuring systems meet functional and performance requirements before site deployment.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation/Control Engineering.
• 10 to 12 years of relevant experience in application and engineering of the Automation System in required domain.
• Efficient in handling the execution of project activities, executes critical project activities and gets the work delivered from team members.
• Experience of complete project life cycle from design phase to commissioning.
• Expert at RCFA and problem-solving techniques
• Cost conscious and keep an update of the cost incurred versus planned. Take decisions during project execution to support PM to control project costs
• The ability to travel 25-30% of the time.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• Domain knowledge of Automotive/ Tire/ e-Commerce/ Chemical/ Water Treatment/Transport/ Infra segment.
• Knowledge of IDC, Virtual Machines and networking.
