Job Description

Teradata SQL Developer
Operating at the intersection of Enterprise Data Warehousing and Financial Services analytics, we help blue-chip clients unlock actionable insights through high-volume Teradata platforms. Our on-premise engineering team builds high-performance SQL solutions that power regulatory reporting, customer 360 views, and real-time decision systems across APAC markets.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize Teradata SQL scripts and BTEQ batches for large scale data warehouses.
  • Implement performance tuning strategies including statistics management, index design, and partition optimization.
  • Build robust ETL workflows integrating Informatica/Python and Unix shell to ingest structured and semi-structured data.
  • Collaborate with data modelers and analysts to translate business logic into efficient logical and physical models.
  • Automate deployment, scheduling, and monitoring using Teradata Viewpoint or Control-M for 24x7 stability.
  • Provide L3 production support, root cause analysis, and knowledge transfer to client stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have
  • 5+ years hands-on Teradata SQL development for enterprise data warehouses.
  • Deep expertise in BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, and TPT utilities.
  • Solid grasp of query plan analysis, Collect Stats, and primary/secondary index design.
  • Proficiency in Unix shell scripting and at least one ETL tool such as Informatica or Talend.
  • Ability to debug, profile, and optimize workloads exceeding 5 TB.

Preferred

  • Exposure to Data Vault or 3NF modeling methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Python or Spark for data transformation.
