Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Power BI Developer with 4-5 years of hands-on experience to join our Business Intelligence (BI) team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining advanced Power BI solutions to meet the analytical needs of our organization. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge BI technologies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive data-driven decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain complex Power BI dashboards and reports to support business analytics and decision-making.
• Design and implement robust data models and relationships using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for accurate and efficient data analysis.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable insights and data visualizations.
• Optimize performance of Power BI solutions by tuning queries, data models, and report designs for maximum efficiency.
• Building ETL (extract, transform, load) processes to integrate data from various sources into a centralized data repository.
• Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance within Power BI solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on Power BI development best practices and techniques.
• Stay updated with emerging BI technologies, trends, and methodologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
• Conducting data analysis and providing recommendations to improve data quality, data management processes and data governance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
• 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development and analytics in a professional environment.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI Desktop, including data modeling, report design, and DAX calculations.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and relational database principles.
• Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL for data querying, manipulation, and optimization.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python (NumPy, panda etc) or R for data analysis and statistical modeling.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions on time.
• Skilled in building scalable ETL scripts for data integration and transformation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-based BI platforms such as Azure Power BI, AWS Quick Sight.
• Knowledge of advanced Power BI features and capabilities, including custom visuals, advanced analytics, and AI integration.
• Certification in Microsoft Power BI or related technologies is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and practices for software development.
• Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
• Expert in publishing reports to app.powerbi.com and setting up the necessary connection details and scheduling.
• Excellent knowledge connecting Microsoft Power BI Desktop to various data sources.
