Your Job

Part of the New Product Development team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and supply chain, to convert root cause analysis and Best practices into useful lessons learned , and work on multiple quality deliverables during the product development phase which helps to compliance with internal and external quality standards to ensure the flawless introduction of products into the market.

You will be in our Datacom and Specialty Solutions (DSS) division, which designs and manufactures an extensive product line serving customers in telecommunications, datacom, (hyperscale) data centre, cloud, and storage applications.

What You Will Do

  • Work independently as Quality Engineer and document lessons on our newly implemented tool.
  • Work with Product development engineering, Manufacturing Integration Engineering, Project Management and Advances Quality Engineering to transfer existing knowledge to structured lessons during design and pre-production launch phases.
  • Work with Manufacturing Quality engineering team and production operations teams to transfer existing knowledge to structured lessons during mass production phases
  • Extensively work on Molex’s advanced Lesson Learned/Knowledge management tool to capture Lessons.
  • Train or Coach people on usage of Auros Knowledge management tool.
  • Support AQP engineers on Design Quality related deliverables like CPMP (Customer Packaging Measurement Plant), Lesson Learned Pre-Processing, Draft Process Qualification plans and create/revise inspection checklists.
  • Follow up on First Article Inspection Reports and Capability analysis reports with internal stake holders/with suppliers.
  • Compile qualification data and run capability Analysis reports on Molex internal tool or on Minitab.
  • Upload FAI and CS documents to Molex Document Search (MDS) through Team Centre.
  • philosophy, International Standards for Organizations (ISO) by following stated policies and procedures.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 3 - 4+ years’ experience in Quality Engineering or related engineering field
  • BS degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or another related field
  • Excellent communication is a must, Listening skills and a quick learner
  • Knowledge on complete product development process and fair idea of production.
  • Strong organizational skills to anticipate, plan, organize and self-monitor workload
  • Strong knowledge on Design, Development and manufacturing related failure analysis.
  • 2+ years using MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point)

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience working on DFMEA, PFMEA, PFD, CP and PPAP preparation/review.
  • years’ experience in Quality engineering in a new-product introduction environment.
  • Working knowledge of electronic assembly, testing, molding, stamping, plating, and assembly processes
