Lead software quality engineer Job Responsibilities Establish and contribute to tools and processes to automate testing and manual testing of applications irrespective of front-end or back-end. Work on projects of moderate to high complexity that requires in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments. Work with software architects and developers to develop software test strategies and plan. Documentation of Test Strategies, Test cases, summaries and expected outcomes. Establish and evolve formal QA processes/standards, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices. Develop testing assets example re-usable testing strategies, re-usable automated testing tools Qualification Is Education overrated? Yes. We believe so. But there is no way to locate you otherwise. So we might look for at least a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science). Or, you should have been programming from when you were 12. For us, the latter is better as it shows you have a programming mindset. We will find you faster if you specify the latter in some manner. :) 4+ years of relevant work experience. Experience in different types of testing that includes Functional testing, Integration testing, Regression testing, System testing, Installation & upgrade testing, and sanity/smoke testing Experience with Agile software development methodologies Understanding of user interface design Strong knowledge of software quality assurance best practices, industry-standards, methodologies, frameworks Ability to leverage technology to advance the quality of products and efficiency of development and quality related processes Ability to follow a systematic and progressive process when troubleshooting and solving problems Automation framework implementation and understanding such as Keyword, hybrid etc Ability to "think outside the box" when creating and executing test plans Strong written and verbal communications, leadership skills demonstrated through the creation of test plans, defect documentation, and summary presentations Sound Knowledge in Core & advanced Java, JavaScript, cloud ,Bash, goLang, Python Puppeteer, Chef, Selenium, JMeter and Load testing tools like SQL workbench etc. would be a plus.
