Job Summary:

The head of Human Resources will be responsible for driving the organization’s HR strategy and operations in alignment with business goals. This includes strategic workforce planning, talent acquisition, talent development, employee engagement, and the implementation of efficient, automated HR systems. As a key member of the leadership team, the Head of HR will also act as a cultural steward, brand ambassador, and strategic advisor on all people-related matters, ensuring a high-performance, inclusive, and scalable organization.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic HR Leadership

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business growth and organizational goals
  • Build a strong employer brand to attract, retain, and develop top talent
  • Lead succession planning initiatives and ensure continuity in critical roles
  • Foster a culture of innovation, agility, inclusion, and continuous learning
  • Act as a strategic partner to the executive leadership team

2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Lead organizational resource planning, including workforce mix and demand forecasting
  • Design and execute effective, cost-efficient recruitment strategies for high-impact roles
  • Drive timely and quality hiring in alignment with delivery requirements
  • Upgrade recruitment systems to enhance candidate experience and tracking
  • Personally lead executive-level hiring initiatives

3. Performance Management

  • Develop and implement a robust performance management system
  • Align goal setting and appraisals with business objectives
  • Ensure high-quality goal setting, regular reviews, and training for managers
  • Facilitate performance analytics and interventions where needed

4. Compensation & Financial Stewardship

  • Design and maintain equitable and competitive compensation structures
  • Manage the annual HR budget, ensuring alignment with financial targets
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings in HR operations, recruitment, and benefits
  • Negotiate and manage employee benefits and wellness programs effectively

5. Resource Utilization & Optimization

  • Monitor resource utilization and redeploy personnel to maximize efficiency
  • Regularly analyze and report on utilization metrics and manpower cost control
  • Reduce non-billable (NB) costs through better workforce planning

6. Employee Engagement & Retention

  • Drive employee engagement initiatives using formal surveys and informal feedback
  • Monitor morale across levels and locations; proactively address retention risks
  • Collaborate with department heads to implement engagement and retention strategies

7. HR Operations, Systems & Compliance

  • Ensure seamless operation and automation of HR processes and systems
  • Maintain complete and compliant HR documentation and statutory filings
  • Establish robust HR reporting mechanisms and dashboards for leadership review
  • Increase automation for higher productivity and faster response times

8. Communication & Grievance Handling

  • Champion transparent and consistent internal communication across all levels
  • Organize leadership communication forums such as town halls
  • Implement effective grievance redressal mechanisms and track resolutions

9. Team Leadership & Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing HR team; provide coaching and mentoring
  • Conduct performance appraisals, identify development needs, and facilitate training
  • Uphold discipline, organizational values, and adherence to HR processes

10. Leadership Team Participation

  • Actively contribute to corporate strategy and decision-making as part of the senior leadership team
  • Represent management in key internal discussions and external forums
  • Uphold and advocate company values and brand externally and internally


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 12+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role and a minimum of 3 years of experience in managing workforce in the IT industry.
  • Proven experience in leading HR strategy, large-scale talent operations, and change management
  • Strong understanding of HR technology, systems, and automation tools
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence executive stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
