The opportunity

As an AI/ GenAI Functional Consultant - Tax, you will play a pivotal role in transforming our Tax practice by identifying and implementing AI and GenAI solutions. You will work at the intersection of tax expertise and artificial intelligence, leveraging your understanding of tax processes to drive innovation and efficiency. Your key responsibilities

• As a member of the Genesis team, the AI/ GenAI Functional Consultant - Tax plays a crucial role in shaping our approach to integrating advanced technologies within the Tax practice. This position is instrumental in leveraging AI and GenAI to enhance our capabilities and provide exceptional value to our clients.
• AI/GenAI Opportunity Identification: Analyse tax processes to identify areas where AI and GenAI can add value, streamline workflows, and enhance decision-making.
• Document Requirements: Meticulously document (functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria) and maintain clear, comprehensive requirements to ensure alignment between technical capabilities and business objectives
• Solution Development: Design and develop AI-driven tax solutions, ensuring they are tailored to the unique needs of the tax domain and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with tax professionals to understand their challenges and requirements, fostering a collaborative environment for AI adoption.
• AI Integration: Work with IT and AI teams to integrate AI solutions into existing tax systems, ensuring seamless operation and user adoption.
• Training and Enablement: Develop training materials and conduct workshops to educate tax teams on the benefits and usage of AI/GenAI tools, promoting a culture of innovation.
• Change Management: Lead change management initiatives to facilitate the adoption of AI solutions within the tax practice, addressing any resistance and ensuring a smooth transition.
• Functional Testing: Conduct rigorous testing of AI/GenAI solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with tax laws and regulations. Address any issues identified during testing to refine and optimize the solutions.
• Status Reporting: Regularly report on the progress, performance, and outcomes of AI/GenAI initiatives to stakeholders, providing transparency and maintaining alignment with project goals and timelines.

Skills and attributes for success

• To make a lasting impact in the role of AI/GenAI Functional Consultant - Tax, the ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical prowess, tax domain knowledge, and a passion for innovation.
• To qualify for the role you must have:
• A proven track record in AI and machine learning, with experience applying these technologies to tax or financial data.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Experience in software development or working closely with technical teams to define and implement system requirements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a history of successful stakeholder engagement.

Ideally, you will also have:

• Experience: 12-14 yrs
• A background in tax, accounting, or a related field, with an understanding of tax concepts and regulations.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and experience leading projects from conception to completion.
• A knack for innovation and a history of implementing new technologies in a business context.
• Proficiency in working with data and the ability to work with large datasets, extracting insights relevant to tax functions.
