Role & Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize server-side features in Java/Python, ensuring sub-second latency and 99.99% uptime. Implement RESTful and gRPC APIs, integrating with microservices, event streams, and third-party systems. Own end-to-end module lifecycle—architecture, coding, unit/integration testing, containerization, and deployment. Collaborate with Product, Front-End, and DevOps teams to translate business requirements into production-ready services. Profile, refactor, and tune databases (SQL & NoSQL) to improve query performance and data integrity. Establish engineering best practices—code reviews, automated pipelines, observability dashboards—and mentor junior developers. Skills & Qualifications Must-Have 3–6 yrs hands-on building back-end services with Java (Spring Boot) or Python (FastAPI/Django). Deep understanding of RESTful design, JSON, and API versioning; exposure to gRPC or GraphQL a plus. Proficient in relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and at least one NoSQL store (MongoDB/Redis). Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions) for automated delivery. Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and multithreading; able to debug complex production issues. Comfortable working onsite in an Agile, test-driven environment with daily stand-ups and sprint rituals. Preferred Knowledge of message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ) and event-driven microservice architectures. Hands-on with cloud services—AWS ECS/EKS, Azure AKS, or GCP GKE—plus infrastructure-as-code (Terraform). Exposure to monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana) and distributed tracing (Jaeger, OpenTelemetry).
