Job Description

Position Title: API Developer (IBM API Connect / Mulesfot APIM )

CTC: 30 LPA

Exp: 7 Yr

Location: Hyderabad

Working Mode: Onsite


Primary Skill: API Developer, IBM API Connect or Mulesoft API Management (APIM), RESTful AP , OpenAPI, programming languages such as Java, Node.js, or Python,

Qualification: Any Graduation


Key Responsibilities:


  • API Migration:

oLead the migration of APIs between platforms such as IBM API Connect and

Mulesoft APIM.

oDesign, implement, and validate migration strategies to ensure seamless API

functionality.

oConduct gap analysis and adapt existing APIs to meet the target platform's


requirements.


  • Development and Integration:

oDevelop and deploy APIs using IBM API Connect or Mulesoft APIM,

ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.

oIntegrate APIs with backend services and third-party systems.


oOptimize API designs for performance and user experience.


  • Testing and Troubleshooting:

oPerform unit, integration, and performance testing of APIs during and after

migration.


oIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve API-related issues in real-time.


  • Collaboration and Documentation:

oCollaborate with stakeholders, including architects, business analysts, and

developers, to gather requirements and define solutions.

oMaintain clear documentation for API designs, configurations, and migration


processes.


  • Best Practices and Compliance:

oEnsure all APIs adhere to organizational standards, security policies, and

compliance requirements.

oStay updated on emerging trends in API management and suggest


improvements to the platform.


Qualifications:


  • Education:

oBachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or


a related field.


  • Experience:

o5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM API Connect or Mulesoft APIM.

oProven experience in API migration projects, including planning and

execution.

oStrong knowledge of RESTful API design principles and patterns.

oFamiliarity with OpenAPI Specification (Swagger) and API documentation


tools.


  • Skills:

oProficiency in programming languages such as Java, Node.js, or Python.

oStrong understanding of API security standards (OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS).

oKnowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.


oExperience with API analytics and monitoring tools.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Certification in IBM API Connect or Axway APIM.

  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like

Kubernetes.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their API gateway services.

  • Ability to work under pressure and multitasking.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and performance.

  • Can-Do Attitude and Positive mindset to address any technical challenges.

  • Must be able to work in a team environment to meet strict deadlines and compliance
