Role Overview:

SDET II

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Node.js, Playwright, and Jest for web and API testing.

✅ Identify, investigate, and eliminate flaky tests, ensuring stability and consistency across pipelines.

✅ Work with QA Leads and SDET I to ensure complete and scalable test coverage.

✅ Collaborate with developers on shift-left testing, contributing to testability of features from the design stage.

✅ Write clear, reusable, and modular test code that follows best practices in structure and readability.

✅ Analyze test results, debug failures, and raise clear, actionable defect reports.

✅ Participate in test case reviews and risk-based test planning.

✅Assist in maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated regression and smoke tests.

✅Support exploratory and manual testing during major release cycles or critical bug fixes.

✅Contribute to documentation, guidelines, and reusable QA libraries and tools.

Required Skills & Experience:

🔹Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

🔹2 to 7 years of software QA experience with a strong focus on test automation.

🔹Solid JavaScript/TypeScript programming skills with hands-on experience in Node.js.

🔹Deep understanding and practical use of Playwright, Jest, or other modern test automation tools.

🔹Proven experience identifying and fixing flaky tests in test frameworks or CI pipelines.

🔹Strong knowledge of web technologies, APIs, and backend interaction patterns.

🔹Familiarity with Git, Jira, and Agile development practices.

🔹Experience in working with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar.

🔹Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.

🔹Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred (Nice to Have):

• Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., k6, JMeter).
• Experience in contract testing, accessibility testing, or visual testing.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Familiarity with test data management and test environment setup.
• Understanding of supply chain, IoT, or sensor-based ecosystems is a plus.
