We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated QA Lead with 4+ years of experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who can not only drive quality initiatives but also train, mentor, and elevate our QA practice. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by collaborating closely with product, development, and other stakeholders, from initial concept to deployment. A strong understanding of both manual and automated testing, including performance and load testing, is essential. Experience with leveraging AI for test creation and a passion for continuous improvement in QA processes are highly desirable.
· Lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of QA processes and strategies across
multiple projects.
· Define and implement best practices for software testing, ensuring adherence to quality standards
throughout the SDLC.
· Drive the adoption of new testing methodologies, tools, and technologies to enhance efficiency and
effectiveness.
· Train, mentor, and guide junior and mid-level QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality,
accountability, and continuous learning within the team.
· Conduct regular knowledge-sharing sessions and provide constructive feedback to help team
members grow their skills.
· Participate in the hiring process for new QA talent.
· Thoroughly read and analyze Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), user stories, and technical
specifications to understand project scope and requirements.
· Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Developers to clarify requirements, identify
edge cases, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
· Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test cases, and test strategies.
· Execute functional and non-functional tests across various platforms and environments.
· Perform comprehensive testing of both frontend (UI/UX, responsiveness, usability) and backend (APIs,
database, business logic, integrations) components.
· Conduct regression testing to ensure new changes do not negatively impact existing functionalities.
· Implement and execute load testing and performance testing to identify bottlenecks and ensure
scalability and stability under various loads.
· Accurately report, track, and manage defects through their lifecycle, working closely with development
teams for timely resolution.
· Drive the automation of test cases, developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient
automated test suites.
· Explore and implement innovative approaches to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine
Learning (ML) tools for automated test case generation, test data creation, and intelligent defect
prediction.
· Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
· Act as a key liaison between the QA team and other departments, particularly Product Management
and Development.
· Actively ideate with product teams on new features and product enhancements, providing early
feedback on usability, feasibility, and potential quality risks.
· Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and stand-up meetings to ensure quality is embedded
from the outset.
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 1-2 years in a Lead or Senior QA
role.
· Proven experience in creating comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and detailed test cases from
PRDs and functional specifications.
· Strong hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing of web and/or mobile
applications.
· Proficiency in testing frontend technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks) and backend
technologies (e.g., RESTful APIs, databases like SQL/NoSQL).
· Solid experience with regression testing and various types of performance/load testing tools (e.g.,
JMeter, LoadRunner, K6).
· Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks like
Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
· Experience or strong interest in using AI/ML tools for test case generation, test data management, or
other QA efficiencies.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
· Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate
complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
