GSPANN is hiring a Network Engineer – L2 Support to manage enterprise networks, firewalls, and cloud infrastructure. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work in a 24/7 environment supporting global network operations and automation initiatives.Role and Responsibilities
- Provide continuous (24/7/365) monitoring and support for firewalls, including Palo Alto (Cloud & On-Premise) and Microsoft Azure Firewall.
- Administer network switches (Cisco), wireless access points and controllers (Cisco, Digital Network Architecture Center [DNAC]), and authentication systems such as Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and Terminal Access Controller Access-Control System (TACACS).
- Manage and troubleshoot load balancers across environments, including F5 and Microsoft Azure solutions.
- Support DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) infrastructure using Infoblox and Microsoft Domain Name System (DNS) / Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) servers.
- Triage incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and escalate unresolved issues to Level 3 (L3) teams or Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) as needed.
- Implement expedited changes and fulfill global service requests with minimal disruption.
- Oversee LAN/WAN infrastructure, including data center LAN, wired/wireless LAN, and cloud networks on Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Commission and decommission physical and virtual network assets based on operational requirements.
- Perform regular configuration backups and conduct scheduled restoration drills.
- Leverage automation tools for real-time health monitoring, incident self-healing, and system diagnostics.
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate asset provisioning and decommissioning workflows.
- Execute batch jobs and manage system patching, upgrades, and the full asset lifecycle.
- Align network operations with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) processes including Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration, and Availability Management.
- Monitor service levels and capacity metrics while maintaining SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), hardening documentation, and escalation matrices.
- Track the complete asset lifecycle, covering firmware updates and hardware refreshes.
- Ensure compliance with license and warranty tracking, and enforce SLA (Service Level Agreement) adherence with OEMs and vendors.
- Apply patches and hardening configurations according to enterprise security policies.
- Participate in disaster recovery (DR) and backup restoration drills to ensure readiness.
- Contribute to capacity planning, performance optimization, and ongoing service improvement initiatives.
Skills And Experience
- 4-8 years of experience in network operations or technical support roles within enterprise environments.
- Hands-on expertise in Cisco switches, access points, and wireless controllers.
- Configure and support Palo Alto and Azure firewalls in live production environments.
- Good knowledge of Infoblox and Microsoft DNS/DHCP to maintain DDI services.
- Troubleshoot and manage load balancers such as F5 and Azure-native solutions.
- Use Cisco ISE and TACACS for secure network authentication and access control.
- Navigate cloud networking technologies confidently on platforms like Azure and AWS.
- Write and maintain automation scripts using Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Apply a solid understanding of ITIL processes within day-to-day network operations.
- Utilize network monitoring and orchestration tools to maintain system health and uptime.
