Position Overview:

The Manager – Monitoring & Evaluation will be responsible for developing and implementing robust M&E systems to ensure effective tracking of project progress, impact, and outcomes. The candidate will lead data collection through project staff, orientation analysis, report, and learning processes across all programs and ensure evidence-based decision-making and program improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• M&E Strategy and Framework Development
• Design and implement a comprehensive M&E strategy aligned with project goals and donor requirements.
• Data Management & Analysis
• Develop tools and systems for data collection, management, verification, and analysis.
• Ensure quality and timely collection of data from the field teams.
• Reporting and Documentation
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual M&E reports for internal use and donor reporting.
• Document best practices, lessons learned, and success stories.
• Capacity Building
• Train program and field staff on M&E tools, methodologies, and data usage.
• Ensure that all project staff understand and apply M&E principles.
• Monitoring Visits and Field Coordination
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor program implementation and validate reported data.
• Coordinate with field teams to ensure adherence to project indicators.
• Evaluation and Learning

Coordinate baseline, midline, and end-line evaluations (internal or external) ”with the respective project team”.

Lead impact assessment studies and ensure findings are integrated into future planning.

• Technology Use in M&E
• Promote use of digital data collection tools like Kobo Toolbox, ODK, or Comcare.
• Ensure secure storage and effective use of M&E databases.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, Public Health, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant M&E experience in the development/NGO sector.
• Strong knowledge of logical frameworks, indicator tracking, and M&E methodologies.
• Familiarity with digital data collection tools and statistical software (SPSS, Stata, Excel, Power BI, etc.).
• Excellent reporting and documentation skills in English (Hindi also preferred).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to field areas as needed.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of MIS design and dashboard creation
• Experience working with multi-donor or multi-sectoral programs
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
