Role Summary


Seeking a suitable candidate in the Finance Department to help achieve UKIBC’s business objectives. The role would involve managing all finance, accounting, and reporting activities in India with close coordination with the UK accounting team. Incumbent would also be working closely with the Head Of Finance (HOF). Incumbent will supervise two-member staff for each of the legal entities in India and the UK. The candidate would ensure that the systems and procedures are operating effectively to ensure flawless conduct of audits and set highest governance & operating standards. The candidate will also partner with the HOF and other senior leaders for process improvements to establish efficient workings practice.


Role & Responsibilities

  • Overseeing end to end accounting, financial and reporting activities
  • Ensuring all statutory compliances of Income Tax, Goods &Service Tax, Company Law and others are managed and complied.
  • Manage and oversee local tax positions, transfer pricing procedures and processes for effective compliance
  • Maintain internal controls and safeguards for receipt of revenue and expenditures. Identifying and implementing best practice to make the company’s financial processes and controls more efficient

and effective.

  • Work closely with the business teams to support business requirements and partner to improve & strengthen existing practices
  • Consistently analyze financial data and present monthly/weekly financial reports in accurately and timely manner. Clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements,

monitor progress and keep senior leadership team abreast.

  • Co-ordinate all audit activities for smooth year end closures


  • Leading the annual budgeting and planning process– bottom-up approach
  • Monthly reforecasting of annual financial performance. Administer and review annual financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate
  • Manage cash flow forecasting by engaging with business teams for revenue and cost inputs
  • Leading the Treasury function by deploying surplus cash in income generating instruments
  • Oversee Banking operations and responsible for processing payments
  • Review and approve monthly payroll for all staff
  • Support HOF in engaging board and audit committee aroundissues and trendsin financial operating models and delivery, including preparation of reports
  • Review and clarify finance team roles and responsibilities to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals
  • Create and promote a positive and supportive work environment


Work Experience & Exposure

  • Minimum experience 5 years
  • Knowledge of Indian GAAP
  • Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting

  • Ability to plan & adapt, innovate, organize, co-ordinate, multitask, prioritize with minimal supervision
  • Analytical, goal oriented and attention to detail
  • Proven brilliance in academics and co-curricular activities, throughout your education and career trajectory
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, board, or other outside partners
  • Ability and desire to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance managers
  • Ability to participate and lead automation of financial processes (preferred)
  • Commitment to recruiting, mentoring, training, and retaining a diverse team; the foresight and ability to delegate accordingly
  • Good presentation skills, MS Excel, Power Point Proficiency


Education

- Graduation from a good college or university

- Masters or CA or CA semi-qualified
