Logistics Manager

Key Responsibilities of a Logistics Manager

• Plan, coordinate, and manage

  logistics and transportation strategies for both domestic and international shipments to ensure timely, cost-efficient deliveries.

• Lead and supervise

  logistics coordinators, warehouse personnel, and third-party service providers to maintain high levels of performance and service.

• Identify and negotiate

  agreements with international freight forwarders based on strategic locations for optimal coverage and cost-effectiveness.

• Collaborate with international courier partners

  to manage last-mile and local transportation requirements efficiently.

• Monitor local and international shipments

  , ensuring compliance with customs clearance procedures and international trade regulations.

• Develop and maintain customer and vendor databases

  to streamline pickup and delivery operations and improve communication.

• Track and analyze logistics performance metrics

  to assess efficiency, identify gaps, and implement continuous improvements.

• Negotiate freight contracts and rates

  with carriers, shipping lines, and freight forwarders to achieve cost savings and service reliability.

• Ensure full compliance

  with import/export laws, customs documentation, and international trade compliance standards.

• Coordinate with procurement, production, and sales teams

  to align logistics planning with overall business objectives and demand forecasts.

• Utilize data analytics

  to identify process bottlenecks, optimize shipping routes, and reduce overall transportation costs.

• Oversee inventory flow

  , including inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing, and inventory accuracy.

• Develop and implement contingency plans

  to mitigate disruptions and maintain continuity in the supply chain.

• Maintain and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  , safety regulations, and reporting systems for all logistics operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in logistics operations, including both

  domestic and international logistics

• Proven experience in

  team management and cross-functional coordination

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  customs clearance, INCO terms, freight forwarding

  , and documentation.
• Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent

• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Certification in logistics or supply chain (e.g., APICS, CSCMP, Six Sigma) is a plus.
