Hiring for " Sales State Head" in a leading cement manufacturing company .


Job Title: Sales State Head

Location: Gur gam

Reports To: Senior VP Sales


Job Summary:

Sales State Head


Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead and manage the state-wide sales team to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and development to sales managers and executives.
  • Foster a high-performance culture within the team by setting clear goals, monitoring performance, and ensuring accountability.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans as necessary.

Sales Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy for the state aligned with regional and national objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends within the state to ensure sustained growth.
  • Set and monitor sales targets for the team and adjust strategies to meet the market demands.
  • Ensure efficient allocation and management of resources, including budgets, territories, and personnel.

Market Development & Expansion:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, both in existing and new markets within the state.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct market analysis to understand competitor activity and identify areas for improvement or expansion.
  • Represent the company at state-level business forums, conferences, and networking events.

Sales Operations & Reporting:

  • Oversee day-to-day sales operations, ensuring smooth execution of sales processes and alignment with company policies.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to senior management.
  • Ensure proper use of CRM and other sales tools for tracking, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Analyze sales data to assess performance and recommend corrective actions as needed.

Collaboration with Other Departments:

  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and supply chain teams to ensure the alignment of sales initiatives with broader business objectives.
  • Work closely with the HR department for recruitment, training, and retention of sales personnel.
  • Liaise with the finance team for effective management of pricing strategies, discounts, and incentive schemes.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Handle escalated customer issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Act as the face of the company in the state, representing the brand and building trust within the marketplace.
  • Key Requirements:

    • Education

      : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
    • Experience

      :15 years of experience in sales management, with at least 8 years in a leadership role, preferably within the cement /TMT /Steel industry.

      :
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of sales strategies, CRM systems, and business development.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to analyze market data and trends to develop effective sales strategies.
    • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
    • High level of adaptability and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
