Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

Senior BI Reports Developer

with a strong command of Microsoft

Power BI

, data modeling, and dashboard development. The ideal candidate will design and implement highly interactive and scalable dashboards, optimize performance for large datasets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn complex business requirements into impactful visualizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports aligned with business requirements.
  • Integrate Power BI with various data sources, including relational databases, cloud platforms, and APIs.
  • Optimize data models and DAX queries for high performance and responsiveness.
  • Implement row-level security (RLS) and manage user access roles within Power BI.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams on ETL processes using Power Query.
  • Write complex SQL queries for analysis, validation, and backend support.
  • Document dashboards and develop training guides for users and stakeholders.
  • Follow best practices for dashboard performance, data governance, and user experience.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 12+ years of total IT experience with a strong focus on BI and Reporting.
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience developing reports using Microsoft Power BI.
  • Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (preferably Azure).
  • Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience working with both structured and unstructured data.
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes and report performance tuning.
  • Proven experience in an Agile development environment.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to other BI tools such as SAP BO and Tableau is a plus.
  • Experience working with external APIs and integrating data across multiple platforms.
