We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Automation Test Engineer Python to join our growing QA team. As a senior member, you will take ownership of designing, implementing, and scaling enterprise-grade test automation frameworks. This is a leadership-oriented role where you will work closely with developers, DevOps, and product stakeholders to ensure a high level of software quality and automation maturity across products.
The ideal candidate is passionate about quality engineering, thrives in a fast-paced agile environment, and has a proven track record of implementing robust testing frameworks that improve release velocity, coverage, and reliability.
- Architect and implement scalable, reusable, and robust automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API-based applications using Python.
- Lead test strategy discussions, define automation roadmaps, and manage end-to-end testing activities across multiple products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Developers, DevOps, and Business Analysts to identify critical workflows and test cases.
- Build automation suites for regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing for applications deployed in cloud or hybrid environments.
- Integrate automated test scripts with CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster delivery cycles.
- Review code written by other QA engineers, assist with debugging test failures, and provide guidance on automation improvements.
- Drive test documentation, reporting, and metrics for test coverage, defect density, and test execution health.
- Mentor junior automation engineers and help upskill the team in Python scripting, framework design, and QA best practices.
- 6+ years of experience in QA Automation with deep expertise in Python and object-oriented programming principles.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks like Pytest, Behave (BDD), or Robot Framework.
- Strong working knowledge of Selenium WebDriver, Appium, and other browser/mobile automation tools.
- Experience in REST API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or Python-based utilities.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI, and experience integrating test suites with pipelines.
- Exposure to test case management systems (like TestRail, Zephyr) and defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.).
- Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and shift-left testing practices.
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Exposure to testing in domains like automotive, banking/finance, or SaaS-based platforms.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for running distributed test environments.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or virtualized test environments.
- ISTQB Certification or similar credentials is a plus.
- Prior mentoring or leadership experience in test teams is a strong advantage.
