We are seeking an experienced QA/Test Lead Consultant to provide strategic guidance and advisory support for the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and System Integration Testing (SIT) phases of the Client program. This role is focused on reviewing, optimizing, and aligning testing processes with business objectives and delivery timelines. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in QA strategy, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional coordination to elevate the quality assurance function across value streams.
· Advise on UAT Lifecycle Design: Review and redefine the UAT lifecycle, incorporating industry best practices and aligning with business goals.
· Strategic Test Planning: Recommend optimal test cycle durations and resource models to meet delivery timelines without compromising quality.
· Resource Advisory: Provide guidance on resource planning, including headcount estimation and role allocation for SIT and UAT phases.
· Cross-Stream Alignment: Consult on aligning testing schedules across value streams to reduce conflicts and improve efficiency.
· Automation Strategy Consulting: Recommend test automation approaches to enhance regression coverage and reduce manual effort.
· Schedule Integration: Advise on integrating SIT and UAT timelines into broader project plans, including risk buffers and contingency planning.
· Defect Management Framework: Design a structured approach for defect tracking and defect measurements, from analysis to inform continuous improvement. Development of a test automation roadmap to enhance regression coverage and reduce manual effort.
· Third-Party Oversight: Monitor third-party warranty periods and ensure effective issue resolution and knowledge transfer.
· Metrics & Retrospectives: Lead retrospectives and advise on optimization of key QA metrics such as defect leakage and test coverage.
· Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to ensure QA processes are transparent, traceable, and continuously improved. Defined reporting cadence and stakeholder-specific dashboards or summaries.
· Identification and definition of key QA metrics (e.g., defect leakage, test coverage, execution rate).
· Establishment of baseline benchmarks and target goals to monitor QA maturity and continuous improvement.
· Executive Reporting: Prepare and present QA health reports and KPIs to leadership and governance bodies.
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
· 8+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in a QA/Test Lead or consulting role.
· Demonstrated expertise in UAT lifecycle management and large-scale system integration testing.
· Strong knowledge of test management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA).
· Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, UFT) is a plus.
· Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
· Proven ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders.
· Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
· Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
