About This Opportunity:


Job Title: Software Engineer II

Location: Bengaluru (On-site)

Role: QA Engineer (Manual + Automation – Mobile & API)


Responsibilities:


a. Manual Testing:


· Analyze product requirements and create comprehensive, well-structured test plans and test cases.

· Perform manual testing of mobile applications (Android/iOS), APIs, and web components.

· Execute regression, smoke, sanity, functional, and UI/UX testing.

· Log, track, and report bugs using tools like JIRA, and work closely with developers to ensure resolution.

· Collaborate with development teams to validate hot-fixes, patches, and production releases.


b. Automation Testing:


· Develop, maintain, and enhance mobile automation scripts using Appium with Java.

· Create and automate RESTful API test cases using RestAssured.

· Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

· Create reusable test components and follow best practices for code structure and test coverage.

· Execute automated test suites and analyze test failures to ensure high-quality releases.


Technical Skills Required:


· Strong manual testing skills for both mobile apps and APIs.

· Solid experience in Mobile Automation using Appium with Java.

· Hands-on experience with API testing and automation using RestAssured.

· Proficiency with Java, TestNG/JUnit, and Maven/Gradle.

· Understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.

· Experience with Git, JIRA, Zephyr and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.


Good to have technical skills:


· Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber.

· Familiarity with tool like Charles Proxy.

· JMeter


Soft Skills required:


· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.

· Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying issues.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.


Education & Experience:


· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· 4–8 years of experience in software quality assurance, preferably in web, mobile, and API testing environments.

· Experience working in Agile environments is highly preferred.
