Job Description

Job Title: PHP Developer
Experience: 4+ YearsLocation: Bangalore (5days work from office)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced PHP Developer with hands-on expertise in Moodle development and administration, cloud service integration, and microservices/REST API architecture. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing and customizing Moodle installations, troubleshooting performance issues, and integrating third-party services using modern development best practices.

What You’ll Do (Roles and Responsibilities)

Design, develop, and maintain custom Moodle plugins, themes, and modules using PHP.
Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Moodle installations in production environments.
Integrate Moodle with external systems via RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
Work with multiple cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) to deploy, monitor, and scale Moodle environments.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD workflows and containerized deployments.
Ensure database performance, optimization, and security, especially in MySQL environments.
Investigate and resolve Moodle and server-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Collaborate cross-functionally with instructional designers, QA, and support teams to enhance e-learning solutions.

Expertise You’ll Bring (Experience and Skills)

4+ years of experience in PHP development.
Strong working knowledge of Moodle LMS – development, configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.
Experience working with Moodle APIs and extending Moodle core functionalities.
Proven experience in creating and consuming REST APIs and building microservices.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services (e.g., S3, Lambda, Cloud SQL).
Deep understanding of MySQL – database design, indexing, performance tuning.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
Familiarity with LTI integrations, SCORM, and other e-learning standards.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack).
Knowledge of front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3) as applied in Moodle theming.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
