Job Title: Payroll Operations Manager Key Responsibilities: Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely salary disbursement using PeopleStrong (HRMS). Ensure adherence to tax regulations, labor laws, and company policies related to payroll, statutory deductions (PF, ESI, TDS, PT, Gratuity, etc.), and benefits. Maintain and manage payroll records, employee data, timesheets, and leave tracking within the HRMS. Address and resolve payroll-related queries, discrepancies, and grievances from employees. Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Compliance teams to manage salary adjustments, new hires, exits, and other compensation-related changes. Generate and analyze payroll reports, providing insights for audits, management reviews, and compliance monitoring. Drive payroll automation and process improvements for efficiency and accuracy. Ensure seamless integration of payroll processes with HR Operations and Finance functions. Manage Audits. Budgeting & Annual Operating Plan: Support payroll cost forecasting and contribute to the Annual Operating Plan (AOP). HR Dashboard & MIS Analytics: Develop payroll dashboards, create MIS reports, and provide analytics to support decision-making. HR Operations: Ensure payroll processes align with broader HR operations and compliance needs. Performance Management System (PMS): Manage payroll-linked incentives, variable pay, and compensation-related PMS processes. Qualifications & Skills: MBA - HR Proven experience in payroll management, preferably with PeopleStrong or other HRMS platforms . Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, labor laws, taxation, and payroll best practices. Proficiency in Excel, payroll analytics, and automation tools. High attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to handle confidential information. Experience in budgeting, HR analytics, MIS reporting, HR operations, and PMS is preferred. Strong problem-solving, process improvement, and stakeholder management skills.
