General Manager – Finance & Accounts

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting & Accounting

  • Oversee accurate and timely preparation of financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annually).
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS / IFRS / GAAP).
  • Manage consolidation of group entities (if applicable).
  • Supervise general ledger, trial balance, reconciliations, and book closures.

2. Budgeting, Forecasting & MIS

  • Lead the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget.
  • Prepare rolling forecasts and track financial KPIs.
  • Generate periodic MIS reports and dashboards to aid management decision-making.

3. Statutory Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, ROC, and other statutory returns.
  • Manage external, internal, and tax audits; coordinate with statutory auditors and consultants.
  • Ensure timely closure of audits with minimal qualifications or observations.

4. Taxation (Direct & Indirect)

  • Handle compliance, assessment, and litigation for direct and indirect taxes.
  • Ensure accurate computation, payment, and filing of tax obligations.
  • Implement tax-saving strategies and risk mitigation.

5. Treasury & Cash Flow Management

  • Monitor day-to-day cash flow and fund positions.
  • Manage working capital and ensure liquidity for operational needs.
  • Maintain strong banking relationships; handle fund disbursements and collections.

6. Internal Controls & Process Improvements

  • Establish and monitor robust internal controls and SOPs for financial transactions.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure risk management policies are implemented effectively.

7. Team Management & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team.
  • Set team goals, review performance, and ensure high levels of accuracy and accountability.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and compliance.

8. ERP & Systems Management

  • Supervise financial modules of ERP (SAP / Oracle / Tally / MS Dynamics / NetSuite).
  • Ensure timely system updates, data integrity, and process automation.

9. Strategic Financial Support

  • Support business units with financial analysis and feasibility studies.
  • Participate in strategic discussions related to expansion, capex, and investments.
  • Evaluate pricing, costing, and profitability models for business lines.

  • ERP and MIS proficiency, with advanced MS Excel knowledge
  • High integrity and a hands-on, detail-oriented working style
