Job Purpose:

The Financial Analyst plays a critical role in managing and analysing the company’s financial health, particularly in the context of digital/virtual assets, crypto, or forex. This role ensures accurate daily accounting, compliance with statutory regulations, and supports strategic financial planning through forecasting and budgeting. The individual will act as a bridge between transactional accounting and strategic financial analysis to enable informed decision-making, support growth objectives, and ensure fiscal discipline within a fast-paced startup environment.

The Financial Analyst will be instrumental in ensuring financial transparency and compliance within a nascent yet growing industry. In the dynamic world of crypto and forex, where regulations and market conditions rapidly evolve, this role will anchor the company’s financial discipline and strategic planning. Key Responsibilities:


1. Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Perform daily accounting and reporting of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare detailed income statements (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly) in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Analyse financial performance and trends to identify areas for improvement.


2. Statutory Compliance

  • File monthly, quarterly, and yearly statutory returns (GST, TDS, or Tax returns) in accordance with Indian regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations specific to the crypto/virtual assets industry.


3. Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Develop budgets, forecasts, and cash flow statements to align with business objectives.
  • Conduct variance analysis to compare actual performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying actionable insights.

4. Expertise in Digital/Virtual Assets

  • Leverage knowledge of digital/virtual assets (e.g., cryptocurrencies) for accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Provide insights on financial implications of crypto/forex transactions and market trends.


5. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and consultants to ensure timely audits and statutory filings.


6. Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and reporting mechanisms.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.



Required Qualifications and Skills


1. Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
  • CA/CPA/MBA (Finance) or equivalent professional qualification preferred.


2. Experience

  • 4-6 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or similar roles.
  • Prior experience in crypto, forex, or digital/virtual asset industry highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian statutory requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax).


3. Technical Skills

  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books) and ERP systems.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills; experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with blockchain technology and cryptocurrency platforms.


4. Behavioural Competencies

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
