Backend Developer

Role Overview:

As a Java Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure server-side components of web applications. You will collaborate closely with front-end developers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, performant, and maintainable backend solutions that support business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side logic and APIs using Java, SpringBoot and related frameworks
• Build and optimize database interactions with relational ( PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Collaborate with front-end teams to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code adhering to best practices and design patterns like OOP and Domain Driven Design (DDD).
• Implement security measures and data protection throughout the application lifecycle.
• Participate actively in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high code quality and system reliability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks for efficient deployment and delivery.
• Work with agile teams, engaging in sprint planning, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience as a backend developer, primarily using Java technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC), and ORM tools like Hibernate, JPA.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with database technologies (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and writing optimized SQL queries.
• Comfortable with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
• Working knowledge of DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Good communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Good to Have:

• Understanding of event-driven architecture and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, and integration testing tools.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and modern software development lifecycle processes.
