Cosmicport, a space technology startup, is building a launch vehicle tailored for small and medium-range satellites, in addition to advancing Earth Observation Satellites (EOS) designed for Sun-Synchronous Orbits (SSO) to serve commercial entities. Our cost-effective reusable launch vehicle provides precise and dependable launch solutions, facilitating the establishment of constellation platforms. As an Avionics Engineer, you will be involved in designing, simulating, and testing various electronics packages involved in ground and flight systems. You will work directly with propulsion engineers, GNC engineers, and others. You can contribute to Launch Vehicle Avionics Development, including initial concepts, design, and testing.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a ground testing setup for real-time data acquisition and control.
• Design avionics schematics for flight systems.
• Perform analysis and simulations of avionics devices and systems.
• To be involved in electronics components selection and bench testing.
• Working alongside other engineers and assisting with electronics design and testing according to their requirements.
• Build and test early hardware prototypes to evaluate design concepts and mitigate risks.
• Perform troubleshooting and resolution of Hardware/Software configuration issues on systems to resolve issues related to system functionality.

Basic Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or related disciplines such as Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or Applied Electronics.
• Strong fundamentals in circuit design, embedded systems, control systems, and electronics hardware.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Comfortable working in interdisciplinary teams involving propulsion, mechanical, and GNC engineers.
• Willingness to work in a dynamic, hands-on startup environment and take ownership of systems.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in FPGA Development
• Hands-on experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle).
• Familiarity with electronic circuit simulation and analysis tools (e.g., LTSpice, Proteus).
• Experience in programming languages such as Python and C/C++.
• Basic understanding of data acquisition systems and signal conditioning.
• Exposure to hardware prototyping and debugging lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, etc.).

Compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis with consideration of knowledge, skills, education, and experience. You may be eligible for annual bonuses. Insurance coverages and retirement plans are being worked upon and will be disclosed after hire.
