Job Description

Key Responsibilities Understand product requirements, technical specifications, and use cases to derive comprehensive test scenarios. Design, document, and execute detailed manual test cases for functional, regression, UI/UX, integration, and system testing. Conduct thorough smoke testing, sanity testing, exploratory testing, and ad-hoc testing to uncover bugs or inconsistencies. Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or TestRail. Reproduce issues and work with developers to verify bug fixes. Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives in an Agile/Scrum environment. Provide test estimations, contribute to test planning, and participate in reviews of requirements and test cases. Collaborate with automation engineers to identify test cases suitable for automation. Ensure deliverables meet functional and quality requirements before production deployment. Technical & Functional Skills Tools & Platforms Defect tracking : JIRA, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps Test case management : TestRail, qTest, Zephyr Documentation : Confluence, Excel, Word Testing Types Expertise Functional Testing Regression Testing UI/UX Testing Smoke & Sanity Testing System & Integration Testing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Compatibility Testing (across browsers/devices) Basic Understanding Of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies API Testing using Postman or equivalent tools (optional but preferred) Basic SQL for data validation and backend testing Familiarity with DevOps environments and deployment workflows (nice to have) Soft Skills Excellent attention to detail and a passion for quality Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Good verbal and written communication skills Team player with proactive attitude and the ability to work independently Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and domain knowledge Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline 2 to 6 years of experience in manual software testing ISTQB Foundation Level Certification (preferred but not mandatory) Why Join Us Opportunity to work on high-impact software products in a collaborative environment Exposure to the full software development lifecycle with a focus on quality Career growth with access to learning resources and cross-training opportunities Competitive compensation and benefits (ref:hirist.tech) Show more Show less
