Experience / Age

1.      This position heads the business development initiative of the organization through identifying proposed and ongoing sectors and through proper coordination with stakeholders (internally and externally ) bids and impacts the balance sheet as per the budget for the financial year concerned. Sector-water treatment, waste water treatment, water network management,10 to 15 years of experience required.

2.      Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components.   


Qualifications

1.      Strong knowledge of business development strategy for the water utility sector

2.      20+ years of experience in Water/Engineering/EPC

4.      Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, BE/B. Tech-Civil M.Tech.

3.      Good experience of Water Treatment / Waste Water / Desalination domain (MUST)


Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

1.   Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for the water utility sector, aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives.

2.      Identify market trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities in the water utility industry.

3.      Deep understanding of pricing and market information

4.   Must be able to generate new business of EPC CUM O&M, BOOT projects through preferential Bid Planning and Bid preparation. (Stretch to PAN India)

5.   Travel to field sites, whenever necessary and if feasible, to conduct fieldwork including focus group discussions, interviews, meetings, training or gather primary information.

6.   Regularly track policy measures taken by the government and its implementation status related to sustainable agriculture and water management in India.

7.   Must have a strong understanding of the water market inclusive of clients, their buying metrics, competitors and their strategies, 3rd party engineering partners, OEMs, vendors and both internal and external resources needed to provide the complete engineering and construction services required in Water EPC work.

8.      Achieve Order Booking Targets with required Margins as per agreed Business plan.

9.      Preparing detailed internal Scope matrix between Partners, Company and Technology Providers.

10.  Assess market demand and growth potential for water utility services.

11.  Review competition analysis and prepare counter strategies for winning

12.  Ensure submission of Technically viable and commercially competitive proposals as per Tender requirements

13.  Swiftly ramping up construction projects with competent cross-functional skills; ensuring on time deliverables within pre-set cost parameters

14.  Overseeing project activities from conceptualization to execution including technical specifications, stage inspections, progress monitoring, site management and manpower planning.

15. Establish relationships and work directly with third-party engineers, joint venture/consortium partners, OEMs and vendors to build winning teams. 

16.Use strategic research & networking for building the high quality prospection plan and follows leads for new projects and increased scope of work for existing projects.

17.  Monitoring and completing contract close-out, extension, or renewal, as required.

18.  Communicating contract-related information to all stakeholders.

19.  Awarding of contracts within approved cost & timeline with highest standards of quality.

20.  Monitoring, evaluating and proactively taking corrective steps to work within target costs & timelines.

21.  Enhancement of efficiency by ensuring the minimization of award of contract cycle time to the desired level.

22.  Reviewing and following operational policies, procedures, systems to enhance productivity, efficiency, effectiveness to achieve operational excellence.

23.  Develop new vendors in line with the company's geographical expansion plans.

24.  Responsible & accountable for regular updating, corrections, and sanctity of database in various systems pertaining to the project/function.

25.  Vendor Pre-Qualification and vendor development

26.  Contract administration involving Expediting, Escalation, change management and contract closure.

27.  Provide support to the Project manager and the Project team in all contractual and project control issues.

28.  Knowledge of GEM tendering. Searching of Tenders through online and GeM, CPP Portal (Central Public Procurement Portal) on regular basis and identifying which tenders may be of interest to the company.

29.  To track the variance report project wise with detailed reason.

30.  Profitability maximization (Actual Budget Released Vs. Achieved Value)
