Supervisor Test Publishing Quality Assurance Analyst (TPQA)(Not A software Quality Assurance (QA) position)

The Test Publishing Quality Assurance Analyst (TPQA) Supervisor will lead a new team of TPQA analysts ensuring the highest level of quality is achieved with all tasks. This position will report to Global Test Publishing QA Manager.
This role is not a software Quality Assurance (QA) position. The TPQA role involves quality checking exams produced using Pearson VUE proprietary software – using xml and html. Primarily using internal tools and software to run reports, using excel and databases to check large amounts of data, and visually checking and testing exam functionality and performance.You will strive to gain expert level knowledge of Test Publishing TPQA process, tools and systems, and ensure your team strictly adhere to agreed and documented processes.You will complete regular 121’s with all direct reports and regular performance of all team members continually.You will work alongside a team of TPQA leaders continually reviewing and adapting process and tools to meet the ever evolving needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete full and detailed checks on all tasks using Pearson VUE’s test driver software
  • Run full end-to-end quality checks of exams using Pearson VUE’s proprietary software
  • Review and check exams for consistency with source files
  • Provide detailed feedback on any issues found
  • Provide detailed, timely, efficient tracking and reporting on all assigned projects
  • Ensure documentation of systems and processes is kept up to date
  • Work closely with other relevant teams to create effective test packs for product assessment, to develop procedures for streamlining the QA process, and to document procedures and maintain the QA system environment
  • Plan work effectively to ensure that deadlines are met and tasks are completed to the highest quality

  • Pro-actively plan for the future attainment of goals
  • Complete other tasks as required, including personal objectives, requested reports and administration requests
  • At all times, throughout all tasks, request support, assistance and guidance when needed.

Essential Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of experience managing a team of staff in a dynamic environment
  • Experience leading high stakes projects with strict timescales and extensive requirements
  • Experience working within, or leading a team where quality is of the utmost importance
  • Higher educational qualification, preferably in a technology-related field
  • Experience and understanding of QA methodologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
  • Detailed, logical and common-sense approach to daily tasks, objectives, goals and projects
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • A high-energy approach and ability to work quickly
  • Problem identification and solving skills
  • The ability to work in a dynamic team environment coupled with the ability to successfully communicate to all types of audience and across different cultures and regions.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal English
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Flexibility related to workflow and changing priorities

Working Arrangements

  • Working hours - 40 hours per week
  • Working location – On-site in our India regional headquarters in Noida.
