Responsibilities and Tasks:

Automation System Design and Development:

• Design and develop automation solutions for material handling systems.
• Create detailed engineering plans and specifications for automation projects.
• Select appropriate hardware and software components for automation systems.
• Develop and test control algorithms and software for automated systems.

System Integration and Implementation:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation technologies into existing processes.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure automation equipment and components.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of automation systems.
• Ensure seamless integration of automation systems with existing infrastructure.

System Monitoring and Improvement:

• Monitor the performance of automated handling systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Analyze system data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for automation equipment.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automation systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to automation hardware and software.
• Train and support maintenance and operations teams on the use of automation systems.
• Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides and documentation.

Documentation and Compliance:

• Maintain accurate documentation of automation systems, including design specifications, user manuals, and maintenance records.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Prepare reports and presentations on automation projects and performance.

Safety and Environmental Considerations:

• Ensure automation systems comply with safety and environmental regulations.
• Promote safe working practices and the use of proper PPE in automated environments.
• Implement sustainable practices in the design and operation of automation systems.
