Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage on-premises/azure infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network configurations, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible to provision, deploy, and manage infrastructure across development, testing, and production environments.
• Automate infrastructure and application management tasks using shell scripting.
• Provision, manage & upgrade virtual machines, containers using Docker and Kubernetes, and automate deployment and configuration of on-premises VMs.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure for performance and scalability, employing best practices for system health and security.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to infrastructure processes, tools, and configurations.
• Conduct system audits, including security and performance reviews, to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest in infrastructure technologies and methodologies, continuously seeking to improve our processes and tools.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for critical production issues and perform scheduled maintenance tasks outside of peak hours as necessary.
• Ensure security compliance with data protection policies, including implementing OAUTH, RBAC, certificate, and PKI-based security mechanisms.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer applications, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Required Skills:

• Solid experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or in a similar role, with a proven track record of deploying, maintaining, and upgrading scalable and reliable infrastructure.
• Working experience with On-premises networking (CIDR, Subnets, FC-Channels), Virtualization (KVM/Proxmox/VMWare ESXi/Tanzu etc.), Storage (SAN/NFS/Nutanix/MinIO etc.)
• Proven expertise in managing firewalls, load balancers, VPNs and Azure Xpress Route circuits
• Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and network plugins.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Perl, awk, sed) for automation tasks.
• Expert in advanced Linux usage and system administration.
• Experience managing enterprise-grade infrastructure on the cloud and on-premises.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity technologies like PKI, SSL certificates, and their administration in different middleware and containers.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively across multiple teams.

Desired Skills

• Certifications in relevant technologies
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Azure Monitor)
