Senior Accountant

Job Title: Accountant Assistant Location : Sharjah, UAE Reports to : Senior Accountant / Finance Manager Job Purpose To support the finance and accounts department in maintaining accurate financial records, handling daily accounting operations, and ensuring smooth processing of financial transactions using Tally ERP. Key Responsibilities Assist with data entry, bookkeeping, and maintenance of day-to-day accounting records. Process vendor invoices, staff reimbursements, and petty cash management. Record and reconcile bank transactions and assist with monthly bank reconciliations. Generate and maintain vouchers, ledgers, and financial documents in Tally ERP. Assist in preparing basic reports for audits, taxation, and statutory compliance. Coordinate with internal departments for invoice processing and payments. Ensure proper filing and documentation of accounting records. Support the Senior Accountant in month-end closing and financial reporting. Mandatory Requirements M.Com or MBA (Finance) from a recognized institution. Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience using Tally ERP . Sound knowledge of basic accounting principles and journal entries. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Tally ERP software. Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage the daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Reconcile accounts, monitor cash flows, and ensure timely bank reconciliations. Supervise and review the work of junior accountants and accounting assistants. Ensure compliance with VAT regulations, internal audit controls, and statutory requirements. Handle year-end closing, external audit processes, and liaise with auditors. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and provide insights for decision-making. Maintain and optimize the use of Tally ERP for all financial operations and reporting. Mandatory Requirements M.Com or MBA (Finance) from a recognized institution. Minimum 10 years of professional accounting experience, with strong proficiency in Tally ERP . Extensive knowledge of financial reporting, cash management, and audit processes.
