Job Title: Head of Teaching & Learning Location : Sharjah, UAE Reports to : Academic Director / Principal Job Purpose To lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices across the school, ensuring excellence in academic outcomes, teacher performance, and student engagement. Key Responsibilities Oversee instructional practices, curriculum design, and assessment strategies across all grade levels. Mentor and support teaching staff in delivering effective and engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards. Develop and implement professional development programs and coaching plans. Analyse academic performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Collaborate with Heads of Department to maintain consistency in academic delivery. Promote innovative, evidence-based teaching methodologies. Support in school inspections, audits, and compliance with regulatory authorities. Mandatory Requirements Minimum 10 years of teaching and academic leadership experience in American, British, or International Curriculum schools. Post-Graduation in a relevant subject + Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education. Strong knowledge of curriculum development and assessment frameworks. Preferable: Ph.D. in Education or related discipline & IELTS Level 7 proficiency. Proven ability to drive school-wide instructional improvement initiatives. Organize departmental meetings, teacher training, and curriculum reviews. Liaise with parents, students, and academic leadership on student progress and department goals. Mandatory Requirements Minimum 10 years of subject teaching experience in American, British, or International Curriculum schools. Post-Graduation in the relevant subject + Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with curriculum standards. Assess student learning using formative and summative assessment strategies. Provide constructive feedback and academic support to students. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents. Participate in curriculum planning, department meetings, and school events. Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into instruction. Mandatory Requirements Minimum 10 years of high school teaching experience in American, British, or International Curriculum schools. Post-Graduation in the subject + Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education. Strong classroom management and instructional skills. Preferable: Ph.D. in relevant subject & IELTS Level 7 proficiency.
