Job Title: Sales Manager – Freight Forwarding / International Logistics
Location:
Okhla Industrial Area, Phase-1New Delhi – 110020(Candidates residing near our Okhla office location will be highly preferred.)

Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: ₹40,000 – ₹80,000 per month + Performance-Based Incentives

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Sales Manager to spearhead our sales initiatives in the freight forwarding and international logistics sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, leading a team of Sales Executives, expanding our client base for both Export and Import services, and ensuring the consistent achievement of revenue targets.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to meet and exceed company revenue targets for both Export and Import logistics services.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of Sales Executives; provide performance feedback and strategic guidance.
  • Set and monitor individual and team sales targets.
  • Identify and develop new market segments and opportunities.

Business Development & Key Account Management

  • Acquire and manage key accounts by building and nurturing long-term client relationships.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline to ensure continuous lead generation and high conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery and high customer satisfaction.

Market Analysis & Reporting

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activity, and potential areas for growth.
  • Prepare detailed sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for senior management.
  • Utilize CRM systems effectively for tracking client interactions, managing the sales pipeline, and reporting.

Team Development

  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new Sales Executives.
  • Organize regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and selling skills.

Qualifications & ExperienceRequired Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive sales experience in freight forwarding or international logistics.
  • At least 2–3 years in a sales leadership or managerial role with a proven record of leading high-performing sales teams.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets in both Export and Import logistics.

Industry Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of international shipping (Air Freight, Sea Freight, LCL, FCL, Express Cargo), documentation, and customs regulations.
  • Solid grasp of Incoterms and global trade compliance protocols.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation, persuasion, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in analyzing market data to develop actionable sales plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to build rapport and effectively influence decision-makers.

Technical Proficiency

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Prior experience with CRM software is essential.
