Design, code and maintain robust Python microservices powering data ingestion, transformation and API delivery.
Develop RESTful and GraphQL endpoints with Django/Flask, ensuring high availability and low latency.
Optimise SQL and NoSQL queries, implement caching layers and profiling tools to boost performance.
Write unit, integration and load tests and embed code quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with DevOps to containerise workloads using Docker and orchestrate deployments on AWS.
Engage in Agile ceremonies, perform code reviews and mentor junior developers on best practices.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

3+ years professional Python development in production environments.
Hands-on experience with Django or Flask and building REST APIs.
Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL/MySQL and familiarity with ORMs.
Proficiency in Git workflows, unit testing frameworks and CI/CD.
Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and OOP.

Preferred

Exposure to cloud services (AWS, Azure or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS).
Experience with Celery, RabbitMQ or Kafka for asynchronous processing.
Knowledge of GraphQL, Redis caching and serverless functions.
Understanding of DevSecOps, monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
