Python Developer

About the Role:

We are looking for a results-driven Python Developer with solid experience in API development, working knowledge of AWS services, and a sound understanding of SQL and raw query writing. The ideal candidate should also possess a basic understanding of backend architecture and system design concepts.

This is a work-from-office role based in Kolkata.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, build, and maintain efficient and scalable APIs using Python.

- Write clean and effective Python scripts to support business logic and data operations.

- Create and optimize raw SQL queries for data retrieval and transformation.

- Work with solution architects to translate system requirements into backend components.

- Develop and maintain cloud-native applications using AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, API Gateway, S3, RDS, IAM, etc.

- Ensure application performance, security, and reliability in production environments.

- Manage CI/CD workflows and participate in deployments.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile development cycles.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in Python backend development.

- Strong knowledge of writing Python scripts and working with APIs.

- Solid command of SQL, including writing complex raw queries.

- Familiarity with system design principles and backend architectural patterns.

- Practical experience with core AWS services (Lambda, EC2, S3, API Gateway, IAM, RDS, CloudWatch).

- Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative workflows.

- Understanding of API security concepts (e.g., authentication, authorization, token-based access).

- Good problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Effective communication and collaboration within a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Exposure to infrastructure automation and deployment tools (CI/CD pipelines).

- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Awareness of performance optimization and error handling in distributed systems.
