Job Description

Role Responsibilities Manage and oversee the procurement process for the company's materials and services. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of quality products. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities. Negotiate contracts to secure the best prices and terms for purchases. Create purchase orders accurately and ensure they are received on time. Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchases based on stock needs. Collaborate with various departments to understand their procurement requirements. Analyze purchasing trends to contribute to efficient budget management. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in procurement activities. Train and assist junior staff in the purchasing department. Resolve discrepancies in purchasing orders and address vendor issues promptly. Maintain detailed records of purchases, supplier contracts, and invoices. Evaluate supplier performance and establish improvement plans as necessary. Prepare reports on purchasing activities and present them to management. Assist in forecasting future purchasing needs based on trends and project requirements. Qualifications Proven experience as a Purchase Executive or similar role. Strong knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes. Excellent negotiation and analytical skills. Proficiency in using ERP and inventory management software. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Understanding of market dynamics and purchasing strategies. Basic financial acumen to assess cost-effectiveness. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. High level of professionalism and ethical standards. Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes. Experience in vendor management is a plus.
